Congratulations to Cisco Ottawa Bluesfest for winning Gold at the "Grammies of Garbage!"

Yesterday Bluesfest was bestowed the Gold standard at the Ontario Waste Minimization Awards in recognition of "a 'greening' plan that involved everything from the use of compostable beer cups, disposed of through the novel use of 'Cupsuckers', to encouraging people to bicycle to the event by providing supervised bike parking, as well as using bio-diesel to power generators."
With the help of a dedicated "Green Team" of volunteers, Bluesfest managed to fill an entire dumpster with nothing but cups to send to a local compost facility.
